Dr. Ghada Aly, parliament member for Parties and Politicians’ youth coordination, and regional director of New Egypt group in the Middle East, visited 57357’s children accompanied by a delegation of members of community development associations.
The visit aimed at lifting up the spirits of our little heroes and supporting them in their fight against cancer. Dr. Aly and her companions offered gifts to the children, drawing big smiles on their faces. She visited the art therapy workshop and gave the children colors and drawing tools.
Dr. Aly was accompanied by Mr. Ahmed Mohsen Kasem, the legal consultant of the group, Mrs. Walaa Aziz, Mr. Mohamed Aldawi, the representative of the youth of Saft Torab, Almahala Alkobra, and Mr. Amgad Husien Morgan, chairman of the board of trusties of Nabd Alhaya Association for community development.
The visit was coordinated for by the New Egypt group and the art therapy workshop.
The delegation was impressed by the Hospital’s quality services and by the art workshop’s multiple activities such as teaching the basics of drawing on cloth, mugs and leather, using oil colors, photography, caricature and designing accessories. In the art workshop, children are enabled to express themselves freely, to have a positive outlook on their future, to be hopeful in overcoming cancer, and encouraged to trust in themselves. The parliament member and the accompanied delegation visited the day care and some patient rooms on the fourth and fifth floors where they gave out presents and took pictures with the patients.
At the end of the visit, New Egypt group headed by Mrs. Aly promised to visit again and to provide more support for our children with cancer.
