Our little heroine is 8 years old from Cairo. She was admitted to the Hospital for the first time in 2019 where she had severe abdominal pain and stopped eating. After visiting a number of doctors, an X-ray revealed a malignant tumor was in her kidney.
Her mother shared with us that her husband’s Aunt advised them to take her to 57357 immediately. “In the beginning I was apprehensive as I thought we needed special favors to be admitted to 57357, but she was taken in, and we found great care from doctors, nurses and every one”, said Malak’s mother. Dr. Ahmed Elhuseiny used to explain Malak’s condition for us. A surgery to remove her kidney was the solution. After the kidney removal her tests and follow up results were good. Unfortunately, she had a relapse and her bone marrow was hit. Malak was readmitted to the Hospital again. Currently she is taking chemotherapy and getting ready for autologous bone marrow transplantation, she added.
I want to become a big artist, I love drawing and coloring, and I love the art therapy workshop and Ms. Amany and Samar are my friends, said Malak when we chatted with her. I endured the painful treatment because I am hoping to heal like the first time. I am asking you to pray for me to realize my dreams, she added.
