Hospital 57357 welcomed a delegation from the Modern University for Technology and Information, MTI, headed by Dr. Ayman Alshafei. The guests were greeted by the Hospital’s general manager & executive director of the 57357 group. The delegation included a group of teaching staff and a group of students from the faculties of medicine, pharmacy and nursing. They toured the Hospital and visited the clinical pharmacy, inpatient department and the daycare and offered the children gifts that delighted them.
The visit included a meeting between the Hospital’s general manager and Dr. Alshafie where they agreed to include the university students in the healthcare specialized training programs offered by the Hospital. Also, heads of the two entities agreed to organize visits for students to the Hospital to benefit from its experience and to carry out fundraising and blood donation campaigns in the university premises in favor of our children. At the end of the visit the guests offered a donation to be allocated to the naming opportunity program in the name of the University to encourage students to support our children with cancer.
It is noteworthy that there were previous visits by the university students to the Hospital and MTI had already welcomed the Hospital’s general manager the previous week accompanied by a delegation where he met with the faculty dean and with students and gave a presentation about the beginnings of the Hospital and the challenges it met until it became a leading healthcare institution.
For the Holiday Season and throughout the month of December, the universities outreach department of the 57357 foundation received 18 visits from different universities and faculties, pursuing to lift up the spirits of the children and to contribute to supporting their treatment journey.
