CCHE 57357’s operating room acquires the Sonosite XP Ultrasound with added artificial intelligence for both anesthetic and surgical intraoperative uses

Thanks to a generous donation from loyal Egyptians who truly believe in Hospital 57357’s contribution to the pediatric oncology field in Egypt.

Early in this month CCHE57357’s operating room started to use the advanced edition of SonositeXP ultrasound being the first hospital of its kind in Egypt to use it.

”CCHE 57357 is achieving a milestone in technology related patient safety by the adoption of the Sonosite XP ultrasound despite the challenging financial situation of the hospital”, reveals Dr. Magda Azer, Head of the Anesthesia department at CCHE57357, highlighting the importance of the new ultrasound equipment.

Thanks to a generous donation from loyal Egyptians who truly believe in Hospital 57357’s contribution to the pediatric oncology field in Egypt, the new acquisition is now in operation and servicing the Hospital’s operating rooms.

Considering patient safety as a hospital priority, CCHE57357’s administration chose to allocate this donation to the new Sonar. Among the key features of the device is its relatively large screen with high resolution that is incomparable to traditional versions of Sonars. The new ultrasound uses artificial intelligence to improve the accuracy of ultrasound images.

For instance, the success of a needle insertion procedure which is an essential step for many interventional procedures as peripheral nerve local anesthetic injections, insertion of vascular catheter and many other procedures, depends on an accurate visual display of patient arteries and veins on the ultrasound screen and also the avoidance of vital tissues injuries .To be guided with precision to the patient’s veins contributes to a less painful experience for the patient preventing him from getting poked more than once for the same procedure.

The SonositeXP is offering an ultimate visualization of target organs wether vessels nerves or other targets its ability to auto-adjust The scan required without many interference of the anesthetist operating it.

The new system is increasing the uses of ultrasound because of its cost-effectiveness, high performance, and being a safe medical imaging solution if compared to Xrays and Ct scans which expose patients to radiation for interventional purposes.

Furthermore, the ultrasound system has an educational contribution as it is considered a reliable source of medical education modules and clinical guidelines through its learning portal, giving medical operators the needed knowledge and confidence for better patient care.
