At Hospital 57357, we pursue to follow latest treatment protocols and share our experiences through cooperation with international cancer centers. Within this framework, the Hospital participated in an applied study to evaluate the worth of mutual cooperation among doctors of the international Neuroblastoma network throughout a period of 10 years (2010 – 2020), and how this affected the treatment methods of complicated cases.

According to Dr. Mohamed Fawzi, head of the research team in Hospital 57357, the study was applied on 412  children from 42 countries. Physicians from the USA and different countries around the world who are members of the international Neuroblastoma network participated in the study. Hospital 57357 was one of the participating cancer centers with 25 Neuroblastoma cases, where Neuroblastoma is one of the most common tumors among children.

The cooperation featured lectures, scientific meetings and exchange of opinions among professionals of the Neuroblastoma international network who belong to different specializations (chemist – radiology – surgery – innovative treatment methods).

The study found that cooperation between professionals is a plus and it contributed to improvement of treatment protocols, and finding new solutions to overcome the disease.
