An educational day for nurses in 57357 to boost the cooperation and expertise exchange between nursing institutes and the Hospital

For the first time, Hospital 57357 holds an educational meeting comprising 60 directors of nursing institutes of the Ministry of Health and Population and the Public healthcare Authority as well as university and hospital nursing institutes, the technical health institute in Embaba,  and a group of nursing specialists. They were welcomed by Ms. Sahar Mousa, head of Hospital 57357’s  nursing department and her deputy as well as a group of the Hospital’s nurses and head of public relations of 57357 Group.

The meeting started with a speech by the head of public relations to welcome the guests and introduce the Hospital’s role of offering the best care and treatment to children with cancer. Ms. Mousa welcomed the guests and presented the role of nursing in 57357, being one of the main pillars of the care offered to sick children. She highlighted 57357’s nursing attainment of international quality certification and the accreditation of the nursing professional improvement unit in Hospital 57357, by the American Nursing Credentialing Center, ANCC until 2024. She also shared about the Hospital’s commitment to transfer expertise to nursing sectors in many hospitals through the continuous professional improvement programs, while encouraging nurses to innovate, improve clinical practices and technological programs, and effective participation in decision making.

Dr. Ahmed Abu Zaid, dean of the Health Technical Institute in Cairo gave a speech where he expressed his delight with the meeting and his anticipation for future cooperation. “57357 does not just treat cancer patients, it added a new dimension to healthcare in Egypt  including hope in recovering from cancer, working according to international standards, initiating and leading the development and improvement of healthcare in charity institutions that offer free treatment”, stated Dr. Abu Zaid.

The guests toured the Hospital’s different sections, including the clinical pharmacy and the art therapy recreation center. They were acquainted with the procedures of care and treatment administration offered to 57357’s children through the latest healthcare systems adopted by the Hospital which works with a fully digitized system, and the role of nursing in 57357’s children’s treatment journey. At the end of the tour the guests offered personal donations to contribute to our children’s treatment.
