Hospital 57357 welcomed a delegation of students of  GBSH,UCL, UK, on their first visit to the Hospital being  an outstanding center for healthcare provision, and to explore potential cooperation. The guests were greeted by Dr. Ahmed Alsherbini, head of 57357’s external relations administration who joined them for a tour in the Hospital.

The delegation met with Dr. Sherif Abuel Naga, 57357Group CEO and the Hospital’s general manager and Dr. Motaz Alzemity, deputy director of the hospital for medical affairs, where Dr. Abuel Naga gave a presentation of the 57357 operation, and the challenges that the Hospital faced and is still facing to be able to offer world standards of care. He highlighted the Hospital’s pursuit and struggle  to be a change agent, committing to the provision of free quality care, with education , research, and putting theory into practice as its main pillars . Dr. Abuel Naga welcomed a collaborative project, namely a study of the work conditions in 57357 and the challenges it faces because of  global changes and economic crises.

It is noteworthy that UCL University is a governmental educational institution founded in 1826 in London, and it is a huge national university comprised of 31 branches of educational colleges and institutes, offering more than 3700 courses annually, which cover almost every university subject. It ranks the fourth in the world in health business administration and the eighth in business administration.

Prof. Dr. Noura Colten, president of GBSH, UCL expressed her happiness with the visit saying: “ it is a pleasure for me and my students to visit 57357, and it is inspiring to talk with Dr. Abuel Naga about the Hospital’s vision, mission and the efforts exerted to build and operate the Hospital despite the challenges they faced”. About GBSH, Dr. Colten says: “the Business School for Health is considered the first in the field in London, where it combines scientific and administrative studies, and it combines different nationalities where half of students are doctors, while the other half are coming from different specialties. They all work as one interdisciplinary team with multiple specialties. The college offers a diploma degree in business administration for health. One of our current projects is “the challenges that health faces globally”, hence we are studying the effect of noncontagious diseases on the health system in different countries, and through the project we visited Egypt. Saudi Arabia and India.

Dr. Mai Ibrahim: “I am the first Egyptian to join the college to obtain the GBSH diploma”. She describes her meeting with Dr. Abuel Naga, Ms. Heba Wahba, head of marketing department of 57357 Group and Dr. Shaymaa Almenyawi, head of the quality department, as a wonderful one , where they got acquainted with the efforts exerted to implement strategies that contribute to the Hospital’s sustainability in providing its services according to world quality standards to children with cancer, despite the economic crises that the whole society suffers from, not just in Egypt but all over the world.

At the end of the visit, the delegation members expressed how proud they were of 57357 for the high quality care offered to children with cancer, and the efforts exerted to maintain quality services despite all the challenges. They shared their enthusiasm to study 57357’s case, and its strategy in handling changes accompanied with the current economic circumstances.
