Kerolos’s mother: “57357 is doing a great job that is only appreciated when a mother with a son whose life is threatened, sees him now playing and safely recovering”
Our hero kerolos is 11 years old and comes from Samalot, Elmenya Goverorate. He was admitted to Hospital 57357 in 2021, and was diagnosed with leukemia. He had a surgery to fix the thigh joint, then he continued receiving treatment. Last Wednesday he took his last dose, and now he is ready to have tests after which, Dr. Hesham Monib, his treating consultant, will decide when he would start the follow up stage.
“In the beginning, he had fever and pain in all his body bones”, shares Kerolos’s mom. “His doctor advised me to take him to Hospital 57357. We came to 57357 with the feeling that I was about to lose him, but Dr. Monib, God bless him, explained to me that he is now in the Hospital’s good care, and that he will be offered all the treatment he needs. Thanks be to God, since my son was admitted, he didn’t suffer any pain. He was becoming better every day. The Hospital didn’t just offer my son treatment, they also offered us transportation from the metro to the Hospital, a guest house, meals and exceptional care. What they are doing in 57357 is something that can only be appreciated by a mother whose son was almost dying, but now is playing around and on the road to cure. The Hospital offers our children care that we cannot afford, I wish if everyone could donate to support its noble mission. 57357 changed my and my children’s lives. My eldest daughter is a nurse, she specialized in oncology, and my younger son is a medicine student, he decided to specialize in oncology after seeing the Hospital’s care for his brother. Even Kerolos wants to become a doctor and practice in 57357.”
