The father: God blessed us with free and best quality treatment, and all the people of our village are praying for Ahmed and 57357’s children
My son Ahmed is what I hold most precious to my heart. Ever since his early years he was a quiet and sensible child, and everyone in Albostan village, Albeheira, likes him and asks about him to the extent that I feel that it is only through him that I exist.
Ahmed is 6 years old. Life brought about this terrible ordeal of his sickness, and we could do nothing but to accept it. Two years ago he started to complain from headaches and blurred vision. We took him to a doctor in Aldelengat village, where he prescribed for him some vitamins. He got better for two months then returned back to complaining. We went to many doctors but the symptoms persisted, and he got worse. He used to scream from headaches, fall down while walking and his vision weakened. We took him to an ophthalmologist who advised us to go to a neurologist in Almenoufeya. We were shocked when the neurologist told us that Ahmed has brain tumor and needed a surgery as soon as possible. He advised us to take him to 57357 as the best place for treating his case.
We left the doctor’s clinic at 2 am, to Cairo directly. We were in front of 57357’s doors at 6 am, but unfortunately we knew that Ahmed cannot be admitted in the same day as there are children before him in the waiting list, and they are in critical conditions just as our son. They told us that they can refer us immediately to another hospital, after we agreed we were surprised with Ahmed’s refusal. He cried and said that he won’t go to another Hospital as he knows 57357 from the TV ads and likes it.
We returned back to 57357 the next day and decided to wait for our turn, while praying to God to admit him quickly. They called us after three days and we were admitted in October 2022. As soon as he was admitted he had tests after which we knew that his treatment would take a long time and go through different stages. We were scared that there would be expenses, especially as the Hospital offers high quality care. Thanks be to God, we were reassured that the treatment, accommodation, medications and food are all for free.
Ahmed started his treatment with a surgery to remove the tumor. He got better and was able to move. Afterwards, we started the radiotherapy stage, for 31 sessions. During the follow up stage the doctor discovered the appearance of a new fluid pocket in the brain, after which they decided to make another surgery to install a suction device. He had the surgery last week, spent a week in the intensive care then he started to recover.
Thanks be to God who blessed us with Hospital 57357 where the treatment and care are totally free with highest quality, best equipment and utmost cleanliness. Moreover, doctors, nurses and pharmacists are treating children as if they are their own. My son’s treatment journey is not completed, but thanks be to God he got better, medically and psychologically. All I am wishing for is that he gets cured and back to normal life and to Albostan village whose people are following up on his condition. They pray for his healing, for the Hospital, and for all sick children.
