The mission of Hospital 57357’s emergency department is to deal with critical emergency cases, who come in a serious condition that may lead to death.
In the emergency department, every second makes a difference in our children’s lives. The speed in decision making to save critical emergency cases reduces mortality rate, intensive care admission rate, and also reduces the patient’s hospitalization period.
When we opened the Hospital in 2007, we started with two emergency rooms. In 2013 they were increased to 7 rooms. With the increase of the Hospital capacity the number of emergency cases doubled. The department receives monthly more than 2000 patients of all types of cancer, which is a large number when compared to those recorded by world hospitals specialized in children’s cancer. Hence we had to upgrade the department in order to keep offering our high quality services to our children.
