A year has gone by to find us welcoming once again the month of Ramadan…

To all our donors, charity partners, faithful supporters we wish you during the holy month to be filled with peace and hope that Life will prevail over death, disease and suffering and that (God Willing).

To all our donors, charity partners, faithful supporters we wish you during the holy month to be filled with peace and hope that Life will prevail over death, disease and suffering and that (God Willing), a better world awaits us after the Covid-19 crisis.

As COVID-19 continues to threaten us in Egypt, the future has never felt so uncertain, nevertheless in a number of countries, the epidemic is being slowly controlled. To spend Ramadan in isolation at home is a tough experience for us all but we hope that you go through it in good spirits and health. Presently at the Hospital, we’re doing our utmost to run our daily operations with maximum safety and protection to our patients and staff and to be at the service of our community.

Moreover, thanks to your support, we are more than ever committed to our program and capacity expansion goals and to the upgrading of equipment to raise cure rates, maximize patients’ outcomes and admit a larger number of children with cancer.

As such in terms of expansion, we expanded the capacity of Tanta branch and opened a new facility, Treatment building A, while working on completing the new out-patient clinics project, the cyberknife and the proton therapy buildings. With respect to equipment upgrading, we were able to acquire the latest navigation equipment for neuro surgeries, a three dimensional trans sectional imaging equipment for orthopedic surgeries, and the complete automation of our labs.

With respect to programs, we are pursuing the provision of educational and training programs in collaboration with world renowned academic institutions to breed a new generation of highly professional pediatric oncologists and pharmacists. Also, the research department pursues research work in collaboration with Egyptian and world institutions in different fields such as the relation between cancer and microbiome science and the nature of cancer cells.

Zakareya, is one of many heroes receiving treatment in 57357. Zakareya is 8 years old and comes from Almahala. He fought cancer since he was 11 months throughout a long treatment journey where patience and hope prevailed, until he defeated eye cancer. Though Zakareya can only see with his heart, he is full of passion for life. He memorizes Holy Qur’an and wishes to become a famous Qur’an reciter.

It is from Zakaria’s survival story and many more we come across every day that we derive our inspiration, optimism, and hope in a brighter future amid the covid 19 crisis. Presently, more than ever, our community needs us. And we need you. In times like this, we’re reminded of how we need solidarity. Thank you for being part of our community. Without you, none of it is possible. Have a Blessed month of Ramadan!
