On the hospital’s fifth floor, the art therapy workshop celebrated its sixth anniversary and its future relocation to the fourth floor as the space it used to occupy is needed for the Hospital’s services. As part of the celebration, the children’s paintings and handicrafts were displayed for sale and their outcome is to benefit the Hospital to contribute to the children’s treatment. This fourth floor location is temporarily until its permanent place on the same floor gets ready. The new location is bigger than the old one so they can expand in activities which will include a painting room, Lego room, gym and healthy food corner.

As part of the celebration, the clinical nutrition department of 57357 presented their innovative food products that combine good taste and healthy ingredients. The products are mostly made of vegetables, they are free of flour and sugar, low in calories, high in protein and rich in fibers. The department intends to sell the new food products through the volunteers’ room on the ground floor until its corner in the art workshop is ready, where the outcome would be considered as donation for the Hospital. They plan to acquire a space within the hospital’s kitchen in the future to be able to serve the new products to the Hospital’s inpatients.
