Hospital 57357’s CEO: Our reliance  on Cerner’s systems is one of the most important factors of the success of the Hospital. I hope we could also collaborate on the educational and training level, benefiting from Cerner’s science by offering  one of their specialized training program through the 57357’s Training Academy

57357 welcomed a delegation from Cerner International Corporation within their periodical visits to follow up on Cerner’s system development in 57357. The delegation included Mr. Mike Pomrance, Head of Cerner Middle East and Africa division and Mr. Karim Abdel Hai, strategic business manager. The hospital CEO and executive manager of the 57357 group, welcomed the visitors and guided them on a tour of many sections of the Hospital including the information technology department, labs, clinical pharmacy and the day care to be acquainted with the latest system improvements on location.

During their visit to the main research lab, the hospital manager shared that research work could not have been carried out successfully  without the supporting informatics system and database by Cerner. “Through Cerner’s system we could build a strong and accurate database that we could rely on all through our children’s treatment journey, added the Hospital’s CEO. He also expressed his wish to collaborate with the informatics company in the education and training domain and to benefit from Cerner’s experience by offering one of their specialized training program through the 57357 Training Academy.

Chatting with Mr. Abdel Hai, he shared:  today we resume discussing future plans between our 2 institutions, to build on what we have already started. We are working with 57357 to up-grade and modify the system so as to set up  the best quality work process that would lead to better treatment results for the children with God’s will. Our visit today is a periodic one to meet with the hospital administration to follow up on the accomplished steps and plan for new ones, so as to integrate and take into account all concerns on both sides .

It is noteworthy that Cerner is a leading supplier of health information technology solutions and services. Through its partnership with the Hospital it has been implementing its latest pediatric oncology informatics system for years, which helped 57357 become the first fully digitally operating hospital in Egypt and the Middle East.
