CIB bank donates to buy a new microscopic device (Confocal), opening up new pathways for researchers.

The hospital continues to upgrade and improve its equipment to keep providing the highest standards of medical care services to our children.

Extreme accuracy of cell imaging with the potential of unveiling the mysteries of cancer disease – Despite challenging circumstances facing 57357 including the decline of donations, the hospital continues to upgrade and improve its equipment to keep providing the highest standards of medical care services to our children.

Within the framework of our commitment to advancing research, being one of CCHE 57357 growth and sustainability pillars, the Hospital acquired the Confocal microscope which offers an accurate vision of high efficiency as a donation from CIB bank.

Commenting on the recent acquisition, Dr. Shahenda El Naggar, head of 57357’s research department reveals: the Confocal microscope used in research projects would help researchers to view the cell from all angles and detect precisely the presence of proteins inside the cell, it is characterized of producing a very clear, precise and high quality view enabling researchers to present higher quality research to be published in periodicals with higher ranking. Moreover, the microscope has a unique feature of giving a 24 live imaging of the cell, opening up new horizons for researchers to know more about cell behavior and its activity in general and cancerous cells specifically. Elnaggar adds that the device at the service of research field in the hospital as well as outside researchers, opening up future opportunities to reveal the new secrets of cancer causes and treatment.
