Infection Control

Scope of Services

57357 management is committed to follow the latest infection control procedures applied internationally. They also have adapted a number of additional measures that are fitting to the Hospital’s work methodology, as follows:

  • Surveillance
  • Meaning tracing infection cases in the Hospital to produce a monthly report for infection rates and trends.

  • Education
  • Infection control education was, in the beginning, reserved to nurses only, we modified it to add on-site training for all professionals, as it is much more important than lecture’s room education.

  • Awareness
  • We were determined not to restrict the infection control department’s role on educating healthcare team and nurses only, and we expanded the circle of beneficiaries to include patients and their accompanying family members and relatives.

  • Initiatives
  • From time to time, the infection control department conducts awareness initiatives promoting the importance of infection control in disease prevention. One of the most important of these initiatives is titled “I am clean”, which is concerned with work environment, specially the one related to children, to guaranty safe environment at all times. Through this initiative, workers received training on proper decontamination of surfaces after cleaning them to guaranty they are free of microbes. It has to be noted that “Hospital environment hygiene” has become the trendy movement, in western countries, now a day.

The initiative goals are divided as follows:

    • A short term goal aiming at encouraging workers to always be ready to achieve a safe sanitary level against microbes, ensuring that all the surfaces they deal with would be clean.

    • A long term goal aiming at changing behaviors to guaranty reaching the best level of cleanliness at all times. The “I am clean” initiative has, during the last four years, has reached its goals by maintaining a more than 90% “No Growth” of swabs and ensuring safe environment.
