This course focuses on developing the nurse’s knowledge, skills and practice of clinical nutrition related to pediatric oncology to be able to deal with nutritional problems associated with this disease & its treatment.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to

  1. Define screening& assessment of nutritional status.
  2. Identify different lines of therapy on nutrition.
  3. List all principles of dietary assessment.
  4. List all principles of food safety.
  5. Identify patients at risk of ‎malnutrition.
  6. List indications and complications of ‎ each route of enteral feeding.
  7. List indications of parenteral feeding.
  8. Recognize precautions to avoid complications of parenteral feeding.
