Hospital 57357 welcomed the visit of Ms. Zenaida Farcon, head of international Inner Wheel for 2022-2023, Ms, Souzan Alkilany, national delegate of area 95 Egypt and Jordan and Ms. Noura Fayek, head of Inner Wheel Club Egypt and Jordan, accompanied by a number of the club’s heads and members in Egypt to offer support to 57357’s children with cancer. Since the inception of the Hospital project, the Inner Wheel ladies saved no effort to support and sustain the Hospital’s mission of offering the best free world standard of care to children with cancer.

The guests were welcomed by the 57357 group CEO and the Hospital’s general manager, in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Elfendi, executive director of the 57357 Foundation and Dr. Sherif Abdel Aal, member of the board of trustees and the Hospital’s official spokesman. In his speech, the Hospital’s general manager thanked Ms. Farcon for visiting the Hospital for the first time, and the delegation’s ladies for the generous donations offered by the different Inner Wheel clubs of Egypt, which contributed to the provision of the best care to our children. He presented to them the modern technologies in all of the Hospital’s departments, and its latest, the cyberknife and its role as advanced radiotherapy device, as well as the clinical pharmacy and its dependence on a robot to dispense medications and the complete automation of the Hospital’s system through one of the best health information systems.

Ms. Didi Alsourani, president of Garden City Inner Wheel, highlighted that the visits of the club’s presidents and members result from the clubs’ interest in supporting sustainable projects which offer services to needy sectors such as Hospital 57357 which is committed to the humanitarian mission of supporting children who are fighting the most dreadful disease. Meanwhile the rest of the delegation’s members expressed their happiness with each of their visits to the Hospital and shared that their trust in the Hospital’s action and role as a charity work model is urging them to continue giving and supporting to contribute to its sustainability.

After touring the Hospital , I was impressed by its latest equipment, especially in the clinical pharmacy where they acquired an automated medications’ dispensing system, but most importantly by the comprehensive aspect of care including medical and psychological offered to all children without discrimination, said Ms. Farcon. I was happy to visit the art therapy recreation center where children are entertained and  encouraged to express their feelings during their treatment through art, music  and handicrafts. I was happy to see them enjoying their time despite their illness, she added.

At the end of the visit the different Inner Wheel clubs offered generous donations, to support our children’s treatment journey. On behalf of our children we express our gratitude to the club’s ladies for their love and support which never stopped over the years.
