On three consecutive days, the art therapy recreation center welcomed a group of plastic artists headed by the artist Dr. Taher Abdel Azeem, with the participation of the artists Mohamed Abdel Gelil, Mohamed Alsawi, Mohamed Fawzi, Abdel Azeez Altemimy, Abeer Mohamed, Eihab Al Asyouti, Hani Abdel Badea and Wesam Abdel Hadi. The artists held and engaged the children in different activities including  drawing and  painting, conducting a puppet theater and design workshops, a music playing workshop and a story telling workshop. The recreation center’s volunteers helped and encouraged children to participate in the different activities.

Chatting with Ms. Amany Ibrahim, head of the recreation center, she shares: we are happy with the efforts exerted by the artists to delight our children. A big group of the Hospital’s patients shared in the activities and workshops and enjoyed them. Every creative activity the child engages in leaves a positive impact on his personality which is reflected on his acceptance for treatment and contributes to restoring his inner peace and lifting up his spirits. I am grateful for all the artists who participated and delighted our children.

It is noteworthy that Hospital 57357 is committed to providing  psychological care to its patients to safeguard their emotional and mental wellbeing upon which the success of the treatment depends to a certain extent. As such, the recreation center provides the children with tools and abilities required to enable them to practice their hobbies and to express themselves as they put their energy in drawing and painting. 57357’s recreation center welcomes many visits of artists and art faculty students, who volunteer to conduct art workshops for our children through which they boost their creativity and offer them the chance to express their feelings which positively impacts their response to treatment and increases the chances of cure.
