Dr. Mohamed Saad, head of radiotherapy department revealed to Al-Ahram website that treatment with cyberknife is considered a leap in the field of radiotherapy, as it depends on concentrating radiation with high precision on the tumor to protect the surrounding tissues and limit the side effects of the usual radiotherapy. In addition it remarkably reduces the number of sessions. The Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357 pursued to acquire this device to become the first institution in Egypt that depends on this technology.
