Shahd, a 57357 patient survivor, invites her schoolmates at the Official Language School to visit the hospital

“Since I was admitted to the Hospital, I never felt afraid as they all loved me, took good care of me, and made me feel normal”

Hospital 57357 welcomed the visit of students of the Official Language School in Helwan in the company of Shahd, a 57357’s patient survivor, and their teacher Mrs. Noura. This is the initiative of both Ms. Noura and Shahd who is in their second year of a preparatory school in an earnest desire to support the Hospital. Shahd used to talk about the Hospital with enthusiasm and praise as she shared with her classmates her cancer treatment journey experience. Shahd was admitted to Hospital 57357 in 2014 and was diagnosed with leukemia. She successfully finished her treatment and now is in the follow-up stage.

“Since I was admitted to the Hospital, I never felt afraid as they all loved me, took good care of me, and made me feel normal”, shared Shahd. “Dr. Sonya Mahmoud used to reassure me. I used to tell my classmates how much I loved the Hospital, and how much it is beautiful. I always wanted to bring them to see the Hospital and to support the children who are under treatment. Thanks be to God I recovered, and I am praying for cure for all the Hospital’s children”, she added.

The representative of the schools outreach department of the 57357 Foundation welcomed the visiting students and joined them on a tour in the daycare and outpatient clinics where they offered the children nice gifts. Among Shahd’s classmates, we met Louji who cut her hair to make a wig and donated it to our children.

Thank you Shahd, and thanks to the Official Language School’s students for their visit that brightened the day of the children.
