Vivian is one of our heroines in 57357 who is now 15 years old. She comes from Suhag and she is fighting bone cancer for the second time. In the first time she was admitted to the Hospital at the end of 2017, with bone cancer in her back. She was treated, became better, and moved to the follow up phase. More than two years later, five months ago she relapsed as the cancer reappeared in her left leg. She is now receiving chemotherapy on her second treatment journey.
When you talk with Vivian you notice the permanent smile on her pretty face while taking the chemotherapy dose. “The Hospital became my second home,” she said. I love everybody here specially Dr. Ahmed Kamel who always gives me hope and reassures me. I am not scared anymore as I have faith in God, and I know that my illness is curable. I am sure that I shall be able to defeat cancer as I did the first time, God willing. To every child who is starting his treatment journey in 57357, I say: don’t be scared, and take your treatment, be perseverant to overcome the ordeal and return back to your normal life, added Vivian.
Vivian revealed to us her inner wish: Before my sickness I didn’t use to think about the future and what I want to become when I grow up, but the ordeal changed my life. Now, after the quality care I have received in the Hospital I have a dream that I wish to realize after healing. I want to become a doctor to treat children as they treated me in 57357.
