Hospital 57357 welcomed a delegation of Zewail City of Science and Technology scientists and researchers, lead by Prof. Dr, Sherif Sedki, the CEO of Zewail City. The hospital CEO and a group of its leaders, doctors and researchers welcomed the visitors. In his address, Prof. Dr. Sherif Sobhi stressed on the common goals of 57357 and Zewail city, where both institutions aim to prepare a new generation of scientists capable of creative thinking and ushering in change in their communities, besides spreading education and developing research. We are pleased with this visit and with the high technological, and research levels we touched, what you are doing here is coming from the heart, towards the wellbeing of Egypt and its sick children, and this is the reason it is successful, added Prof. Sobhi.

“It is an honor to be part of a collaborative work that joins the effort of loyal people who are devoted to their nation,” said the Hospital CEO as he warmly welcomed the visitors. “Any cooperation joining them would certainly gain high credibility. In 57357, we were honored by working with organizations that are seeking Egypt’s prosperity, and working with Zewail City will be an addition through which we can achieve more scientific development, added the Hospital’s General Manager.

Dr. Shahenda Elnaggar gave a speech where she expressed her pleasure with the visit, and presented the history of the Hospital’s research department with its specialized divisions and their collaborative interactions.

“57357 is exerting efforts to prepare a new generation of highly qualified therapists through education and training,” explained Dr. Nabil Ahmed, the genetic therapy and bone marrow transplantation expert professor, in a speech he gave to welcome the visitors. “As revealed by the late scientist Ahmed Zewail, we presently work as separate islands; our union would contribute to retrieving the glory of the Egyptian civilization and making history again through our achievements. Welcome to an imminent collaboration between our two institutions through which we could find ways to connect our islands in favor of Egypt’s prosperity,” he added.

The visit included preparation for the potential cooperation agreement in research and education as a kick-off action. It was agreed that the following day, 57357’s and Zewail City’s research teams would start meeting to discuss comprehensive cooperation opportunities.

At the end the visitors toured the different Hospital sections.
