Headed by Mrs. Sohair Abdel Kader, Awladna Association celebrated the opening of the Afro-Chinese festival which is held for the third consecutive year. The celebration was held in Almanesterly Palace under the slogan “100 year Mandela”

The festival that is held annually under the patronage of the Ministries of Culture, Tourism and Youth and Sports was attended by Dr. Inas Abdel Dayem, Minister of culture, Dr, Ashraf Sobhi, Eng. Hani Azer, Dr. Zahi Hawas and a number of artists and public figures. The festival aims to encourage tourism in Egypt and strengthen the relationships between African and Asian countries and it has been successful in the last two years.

During the opening ceremony, 57357’s children choir was honored as well as its volunteers department for its outstanding efforts in entertaining our children and raising their morale which contributes to their recovery. A group of Egyptian artists was also honored.

It is noteworthy that some of the folklore and entertainment teams that shared in the festival will visit our children and present three shows at the Hospital. Among the teams that will visit the Hospital Giango team from China, Alfalouga team from Palestine and Bicosmana team from South Africa.

This is not the first time to have the festival teams visiting the hospital during the festival as Awladna Association headed by Mrs. Abdel Kader has been keen to invite them to present shows to our children every year.

Our gratitude to Awladna Association and the festival teams.
