It is the first of its kind in Egypt and Africa. 57357 Foundation is a role model in hospitals and health systems quality which opens the opportunity for a gold standard institution in global health care like Joint Commission International to collaborate on a joint accredited program..

JCI QM and PS certificate program will be implemented by JCI Organization in collaboration with 57357 foundation, It represents an excellent opportunity for organizations that would like to build capacity by strengthening quality initiatives within their organization. The integrated curriculum is implemented as a consulting engagement within an organization to a group of staff members and is typically presented in six modules over twelve months.

The course Modules will be held at 57357 Healthcare Science Academy in Egypt.The certificate program consists of 3 Semesters, each, consists of 2 weeks period of time “Didactic part” which will be provided by JCI consultants and 8 weeks period of time “Practicum Part” which will be provided by qualified representative selected by JCI and 57357 foundation.

Program Participants will each prepare a capstone project throughout the course and the final project will be submitted at the end of Module 6

JCI is a not-for-profit organization, organized under the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, whose mission is to continuously improve the safety and quality of care in the international community through the provision of education, publications, consultation and evaluation services; WHEREAS, the Foundation is seeking to provide the Quality Management and Patient Safety Certificate Program as a shared program with JCI.

A unique interactive learning experience for developing change champions who‘d lead and accelerate healthcare reform all over the world towards international benchmark.

At the completion of the Certification Program, participants will be :


Master knowledge and skills on Quality management and Patient Safety as described in completion and scoring system

Acquire tools and skills to facilitate and accelerate change required as part of continuous improvement initiatives – change Agents

Act as Accreditation Champion , lead effectively accreditation process in their organization ( capstone ) Q & PS Ambassador / Champion

JCI will provide a six (6) Module certificate program (“Program”), in Cairo, Egypt, within a One academic year period of time, beginning of the program is according to (the “Program Timeframe”), on quality management and patient safety to approximately 60 participants (the “Program Participants”). The Program will be provided within the Program Timeframe and aimed at providing Program Participants with tools and strategies to improve, perform, coordinate and sustain quality management and patient safety activities within Egypt’s hospitals and for Program Participant’s from other hospitals. The titles of the six (6) Modules for the initial Program are incorporated herein. The Program will include six (6) intensive Modules which will include a combination of On-Site Sessions (as defined below), discussions, group exercises, assigned readings, homework assignments, Module-specific examination questions, and student monitoring with assignments.

Each Module will consist Copyright 2016 Joint Commission International Proprietary and Confidential Information - 2 - of one (1) on-site didactic education session that is five (5) days in length. Two (2) Modules will be provided consecutively at the mutually agreed upon location for onsite instruction (the “Onsite Session(s)”), for a total of three (3) On-Site Sessions. This includes two (2) Modules per session. During On-Site Sessions, faculty will use a variety of teaching methods, such as PowerPoint presentations, discussions, interactive problem solving, case studies and in-class application exercises to apply theory to practice. Following each of the On-Site Sessions, Program Participants will return to their respective settings to complete the remaining Session specific activities and assignments, using the experience in their setting to focus on implementation of the strategies, tools, and methods presented during the On-Site Sessions

Throughout the Program, all communications, including email, On-Site Sessions and other presentations, and all course materials will be provided in English. Program Participants will each prepare a capstone project throughout the course and the final project will be submitted at the end of Module 6. JCI consultants will review the capstone projects and determine if the project is acceptable or unacceptable. Criteria for the determining what is acceptable and unacceptable will be mutually agreed upon by both parties. JCI will submit their review of the projects to the Foundation.

Diploma Requirements


  • At least Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care minimum grade Good.
  • At least two (2) years in the field of Healthcare Quality Management and Patient Safety.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English. ( Record of proficiency / pass 57357 Proficiency exam )
  • Full time availability during course offering – attendance accounts for 80% of overall score.
