57357 holds a scientific day in November to present uses of the new operating Cyberknife “targeted surgical radiation”

On Thursday, November 10, 2022, the Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357 will hold a scientific day for cyberknife applications. Prof. Dr. Sherif Abouel Naga, the CEO of 57357 Group and the Hospital General Manager will preside the meeting titled “new horizons for treatment with SBRT Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy” in the Hospital’s auditorium where many of the people interested in radiotherapy for cancer treatment will attend.

The cyberknife or SBRT scientific day will include introductory lectures about the cyberknife, (targeted surgical radiation), and its use in treating prostate, lung, central nervous system and other cancers.

The day will also include lectures in medical physics in addition to presenting 57357’s experiences and results of cyberknife treatment, and a tour in the cyberknife building.

Experts in the field of radiotherapy will be giving presentations during the day including Prof. Dr. Hala Kalger, head of radiotherapy department of the Anatolia Radiotherapy Center, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saad Zaghloul, head of 57357’s radiotherapy department, Prof. Dr. Azza Nasr, radiotherapy consultant in Hospital 57357 and Dr. Hani Ammar, head of 57357’s medical physics department.
