Within the framework of the continuous cooperation between Hospital 57357’s volunteers department and “Awladna” (Our Children) Association for children with special needs, the Association invited the Hospital’s children choir to share in the Russian cultural center’s annual celebration held in cooperation with the Association to celebrate the children’s day, in attendance of a group of media representatives and public figures.
Hospital 57357’s children choir participated with singing and dancing wearing Egyptian folkloric costumes and delighted the audience. The celebration included singing and dancing shows by “Awladna” as well as classical ballet presented by the students of Indigo center for Russian ballet.
57357’s children choir is one of the Hospital’s volunteers department activities that enable children to develop their talents and express themselves, which contributes to their mental wellbeing . Dr. Sohair Abdel Kader, head of “Awladna” Association highlighted that the celebration is organized within the framework of the Association’s social role to integrate children with special needs in the society and show their capabilities.
It is noteworthy that international children’s day is celebrated on June 1st, since 1950 to fight abuse and violence against children and offer them a safe environment.
