Screening Clinic

Your steps in the Initial Screening Clinic

Required documents:

  • The child’s computerized birth certificate (age no more than 18).
  • Guardian’s ID.
  • All tests and examinations that proves the existence of cancer (dated no more than 3 months ago).

Acceptance conditions

  • Cases that underwent any surgeries or took chemotherapy or radiotherapy doses would not be accepted.
  • Cases that underwent shunt outside the Hospital can be accepted in case there is vacancy in the Hospital, except for pineal shunt.

Upon arrival at the Hospital

  1. Go to the screening clinic
  2. Only one companion can accompany the child inside the clinic, in case there is a big number of companions they can wait outside for children’s safety and infection control.

  3. Present the documents to the patients’ relations office for review.
  4. After documents revision go to the secretarial office.
  5. Hand them all the documents to save it in a file with the child’s name and a specific file number.
  6. You may wait with your child in the waiting room.

  7. Starting checkup
  8. The clinic’s nurse will carry out a patient’s assessment by checking up the child’s vital functions (weight, height, temperature, blood pressure) and record them before seeing the specialized consultant

  9. After checkup the doctor records the diagnosis and determines whether:
  10. There is a malignant tumor

    • He needs to be admitted to the in-patient section (to be placed on the external waiting list).
    • He needs treatment in the day care.

  11. The admission office will call you to arrange for a meeting with a consultant to conduct required examinations and specify optimum treatment method

In the event that the patient cannot wait for his turn to be admitted we will help you to coordinate with the nearest cancer center, for your child’s being; if however you still decide to wait it will be on your sole responsibility.

  • Go to the patients’ relations office in the screening clinic.
  • Registration from 7:30 am to 9:00 am, Sunday to Thursday.
  • No registration after 9:00 am.

We look forward to admitting your child in the Hospital nevertheless, it is only upon his turn that we will start administering care and treatment.

We will contact you by phone to specify an appointment to start your treatment, according to your turn on the waiting list.

The Hospital is not responsible about the case deterioration as a result of being registered on the waiting list.
