Pediatric Oncology Intensive Care Unit

Medical staff of the ICU are eligible to do the following procedures:

• Emergency procedures as Endotracheal intubation (oral and nasal routes) & difficult airway management.


• Peripheral & central venous access insertion (central line insertion).


• Mechanical ventilation including (HFOV) high frequency oscillation ventilation.


• Mini procedures as Thoracocentesis (chest tube insertion), Abdominal paracentesis, Lumbar puncture.


• Pericardiocentesis (ECHO guided)


• Flexible bronchoscopy for critically ill pediatric patients.


• Functional Echocardiography in PICU for heamodynamic monitoring of critically ill patients.
