In its December 14, 2019, edition Elsvier journal published a research paper by Prof. Dr. Sameh Magd Aldeen, head of proteomics program of the Children’s Cancer Hospital Egypt 57357. The research team developed a software package “UniprotR” to retrieve and collect proteins’ research results, processing and analyzing it in an easy fast automatic way to obtain results about the form and percentage of proteins, their composition and the relations between them based on the location of chromosomes, genetic sequencing and physical and chemical characteristics. This will contribute to establishing a data base that would help researchers to track proteins’ movements which facilitate diagnosis and the follow up of the medication effect.

In addition this package is the only available one currently that can produce graphical view for proteins’ data. More over researchers can use these graphs to publish research papers. The software package also collects data from different data bases to illustrate the three dimensional composition and the interactions between different proteins.

Researchers revealed that this software package is now available for researchers worldwide for free and it was met by much interest of many researchers where it was downloaded more than 2000 times since publishing it four months ago.
