Within the framework of honoring volunteers for their effective efforts, Hospital 57357 celebrated international volunteer day under the patronage of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and in attendance of a number of media people, artists, public figures and a big group of the Hospital’s volunteers. The celebration was also attended by representatives of banks, companies, hotels and institutions that contribute their volunteering efforts to support sick children and their families.
The volunteers department of Hospital 57357 is one of the departments that is assuming an important role along with the treating team. Through 17 volunteering programs and a data base of more than 13 thousand volunteers, the department is responsible for extending a variety of in-kind support to patients including organizing entertainment events and activities which lifts up their spirit and helps them to accept the treatment and consequently reach recovery, God willing.
We were also honored by the attendance of Mrs. Sohair Abdel Kader, head of “our children” association, the international fashion designer Hani Albehairy, pastor Sameh Lotfi, Evangelical Theology College vice Dean, George Gamil, priest of Prostrating Virgin church, Ms. Nermin Shehab, head of community services of the National Bank of Egypt, Mr. Hassan Saif Alnasr, Deputy Head of Public Relations, Commercial International Bank, CIB, representatives of Egypt and Cairo Banks, Modern School of Egypt 2000, MSE, Faculty of Specific Education, Vodafone institution, the sustainable development team of Kapci Co., Sima Co., Egypt Air, Etoile for sweets, Dream Park in addition to representatives of the hotels that support volunteering work in 57357, Egypt volunteering team and boy scouts team from the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The guests were welcomed by Dr. Sherif Abouel Naga, Executive Director of 57357 Group and Hospital’s General Manager, Dr. Hanaa Farid, Fundraising Consultant of 57357 Foundation, Ms. Dina Ali, Head of 57357’s Volunteering Department and some Management members.

Sheikh Mahmoud Alshobki, from the Hospital’s moral support unit: behind our volunteers activities there is love, compassion, commitment, they happily offer our children their efforts and time.
Hani Albehairy: 57357 was built by love, mercy and giving, my support started with the inception of the Hospital and will continue. When I designed fashions for the Hospital’s children, I felt like I am designing them for my own children.
Priest Sameh Lotfi: I am passing to you greetings of priest Atef, Dean of Theology College, I genuinely thank everyone who works in favor of those children and I like to share with you a bible quote, “be strong because you are providing service”.
Dr. Hanaa Farid: volunteers are very important part of the Hospital, they convey the Hospital’s mission to university and school students who represent one of the pillars on which the Hospital is built on. The success of our children’s treatment depends on our volunteers who engage them in different activities and events to raise their morale.
Fatema Yasser, one of the Hospital’s volunteers: I am so happy because I am able to have a certain impact on the children. Through our interaction with them, they affect us as well, they give us positive energy.
The celebration included singing by 57357’s children choir followed by an operette by volunteers, shows by Alfayoum team for folk arts and a drum and flute performance by the artists Khaled Alsayes and Sayed Alhuseiny. The celebration was presented by the media broadcaster Hassan Alshazli.
At the end of the celebration, distinguished volunteers in each of the Hospital’s volunteering activities were honored by giving them certificates of appreciation. The Hospital’s charity partners, banks, hotels, and other institutions who support the Hospital through their volunteering efforts were also honored.
